Big Rock Creek

Wahoka Rising Son!

What a weekend! What a weekend!!!   Anytime a group of Fathers and Sons can spend the weekend together climbing on a low ropes course, getting a hands on demonstration from a real Alaskan “Musher”, have the opportunity to meet, pet and interact with a sled dog pack of 15 huskies, continually pull 2-3 pound trout out of a lake, share some good food and time with fellow circles and perform some really cool skits...then that group has arrived. Gentlemen, it was a privilege.

Thanks again to Dave Done and all the Cowboys for setting up a fantastic event!! Dave, because of your efforts, our boys were given incredible memories. Thanks for going the extra mile with information, for meeting deadlines and for getting us all excited about the event. Your efforts were noticed and appreciated!!

Congratulations to the Cowboys for receiving the “Hubie Award!” A little effort goes a long way in a young childs mind and this circle got that done and done well this weekend!! Wahoka!

Congratulations to Greg and Benjamin Grulikowski for receiving the Navigator award. What an incredible expression of Fatherly devotion and Child appreciation displayed by both of them this weekend! It was a privilege to watch and to honor them for being so cool to each other!!

Thanks to everyone for getting together and coming up with so very cool skits. I know our families will appreciate them at Campland next month. Hopefully we all met or grew to appreciate our fellow Rising Son brothers and sons during the experience. You guys rock!!

Finally, I wanted to thank you all for supporting Everett while he ran the entire campfire. It was an incredible feeling to watch someone I love so much, be praised by a group of men that I respect and appreciate and admire. Tonight, when Everett told his mom about how he did, he said: “Mom, they cheered my name and a lot of Dads came up to me afterward and told me I did really good!” It is amazing that we can have such an ability to empower our kids with simple praise. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and I know Everett will never forget it. Thank you and please extend my thanks to your Circles. 1 of 100 Fathers!!! Yes!
